Course Information

Course Overview

Reiki Second Degree is the next step for those who have already completed Reiki

Level 1 and feel ready to deepen their connection to Reiki — both for themselves and, potentially, for others.

This day-long, in-person training expands your understanding of Reiki and introduces the sacred symbols that allow energy to be focused more clearly, work more efficiently, and transcend time and distance.

Many people experience Reiki Second Degree as a turning point: self-treatments become deeper, intuitive awareness strengthens, and confidence in working with energy grows.

The course is experiential as well as practical. You will have time to work on your own healing and development, while also learning how to apply Reiki Second Degree techniques in a clear, ethical, and grounded way.

For some, this training is about taking self-care and inner work to a much deeper level. For others, it’s the point where Reiki begins to move from a personal practice into professional work with clients. Both paths are valid, and this training supports each without pressure.

What you’ll learn on the day

This is a full-day, in-person course running from 10am to 4pm, combining teaching, discussion, demonstration, and plenty of time for practice.

During the day, you will:

• An expanded understanding of Reiki energy at Second Degree level• The traditional Reiki symbols and how to work with them safely and effectively

• How to focus and strengthen Reiki for self-treatment and treatments for others

• Distance (absent) Reiki healing across time and space

• Working intuitively with Reiki while maintaining strong energetic boundaries

• Practical ways to integrate Reiki Second Degree into everyday life and practice

You’ll be guided step by step, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and go at a pace that feels right for you.

Who Is This Training For?

• Reiki Level 1 practitioners feeling drawn to deepen their practice

• Those wanting to strengthen self-healing, clarity, and energetic confidence

• Practitioners considering working with others in a professional capacity

• Anyone who feels genuinely ready to take the next step with Reiki

Your journey is your own.

Important Note on professional practice and insurance

Reiki Second Degree is a progressive, professional level of training. While some students choose to continue their training and later obtain professional insurance, we cannot guarantee insurance eligibility, professional recognition, or acceptance by insurers or professional bodies

What Is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a gentle system of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century with Mikao Usui. The word Reiki is often translated as universal life energy — the natural energy that flows through all living things.

Reiki works by supporting the body’s own ability to relax, rebalance, and restore itself. Rather than forcing change or diagnosing problems, Reiki creates a calm, supportive space in which the body and mind can do what they already know how to do.

Reiki is:

Not a religion

Not massage or physical manipulation

Not a replacement for medical care

Gentle, non-invasive, and safe

Self-Healing at the Core

Reiki First Degree places strong emphasis on working with yourself first. Many people are drawn to Reiki because they want a way to manage stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or simply feel more grounded and connected.

This course gives you:

A practical self-healing routine you can return to again and again

A way to support your nervous system and emotional balance

A deeper sense of trust in your body and intuition

A gentle daily practice that fits real life

For many people, this truly does take self-care to a new level — not by adding pressure or routines, but by offering a calm, supportive way to listen to and care for yourself.

Supportive Work With Others and Animals

After Reiki Second Degree, many people often expand beyond sharing Reiki informally with friends, family, and animals, to working professionally with clients.  If you don’t decide to do this, Reiki Second Degree is a deepening for your existing practice.

If you already work with people — for example in massage, bodywork, wellbeing, caring, or holistic roles — Reiki Second Degree can not only enhance your presence, sensitivity, and energetic awareness, but enable you to potentially offer Reiki as a separate or complementary therapy to your existing practice.
