Reiki Training – Workshop & Course Terms & Conditions

(Reiki First Degree & Reiki Second Degree)

These Terms and Conditions apply to all participants booking or attending Reiki First Degree (Foundations of Energy Healing) and/or Reiki Second Degree (Level 2 Practitioner Training).

By booking a place on either course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.

1. Course Nature and Scope

1.1 General

Reiki training is a complementary, energetic practice and does not constitute a medical, psychological, or clinical qualification. Reiki training does not replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic care.

1.2 Reiki First Degree (Foundations of Energy Healing)

Reiki First Degree is a personal development and self-healing course. It enables participants to:

  • Practise Reiki on themselves
  • Share Reiki informally with friends, family, and animals

Reiki First Degree does not qualify participants to practise Reiki professionally or charge for treatments. Professional practice usually requires further training (such as Reiki Second Degree), experience, insurance, and adherence to professional standards.

1.3 Reiki Second Degree (Level 2 Practitioner Training)

Reiki Second Degree is an advanced training focused on deepening personal practice and introducing professional-level Reiki techniques. It enables participants to:

  • Deepen Reiki self-practice
  • Use Reiki symbols responsibly and ethically
  • Practise Reiki with others, including distance (absent) healing
  • Develop skills towards professional Reiki practice, subject to insurance and professional requirements

While Reiki Second Degree may support those wishing to practise professionally:

  • Appropriate insurance is required
  • Acceptance by insurers or professional bodies is not guaranteed
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet insurer and regulatory requirements

2. Certification

2.1 Certification Requirements

Certification is issued upon:

  • Attendance for the full duration of the course

2.2 Certification Discretion

Certification may be withheld if:

  • A participant disrupts the course or compromises safety or learning
  • A participant refuses to follow reasonable instructions, ethical guidelines, or boundaries

Certification is awarded at the discretion of the course facilitators, acting in good faith and in line with professional and ethical standards.

2.3 Recognition

Certification is recognised by:

  • The International Hypnotherapy Association
  • The International Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy Membership (IHPM)

as a Reiki First Degree or Reiki Second Degree qualification, as applicable.

2.4 No Guarantees

We do not guarantee:

  • Insurance eligibility
  • Acceptance by insurers, associations, or third-party organisations
  • Any specific professional outcomes

  • The option to transfer to a future date

5.3 We are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, including travel, accommodation, or loss of earnings.

6. Health, Wellbeing & Personal Responsibility

6.1 Reiki is a complementary practice and does not replace medical, psychological, or professional healthcare.

6.2 Participants remain fully responsible for their own physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing during and after the course.

6.3 Participants must inform the facilitators of any medical conditions, mental health concerns, or circumstances that may affect their participation.

6.5 We are not liable for any physical, emotional, or psychological responses that may occur during or after the course, including (but not limited to) emotional release, tiredness, shifts in awareness, or energetic processing.

7. Healing Responses and Integration

7.1 Participants may experience physical, emotional, or energetic responses following attunement or Reiki practice.

7.2 These experiences are considered a normal part of energy work and do not constitute harm or negligence.

7.3 Participants are responsible for their own aftercare, rest, hydration, grounding, and integration.

8. Liability and Disclaimer

8.1 Participation is voluntary.

8.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation
